YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY ON OUR WALLS – ENTER THE TOMMY BELL PHOTO CONTEST

Tommy Bell was part of the Rockville family for more than six years hosting birthday parties, teaching climbing classes and much more. Best known for his ever-present smile and seemingly endless supply of positivity, Tommy embodied the best in all of us. Our community lost Tommy far too soon when he passed away in a bicycle crash in the Spring of 2017.

IN HONOR OF TOMMY BELL

We hope to honor his memory and three of his deepest passions: photography, spreading happiness and rock climbing with the annual Tommy Bell Photo Contest! Post your most happy, passion-filled climbing pic on Instagram using the #CanIFocus2020 and #Movement hashtags for a chance to have your photograph displayed in Movement Rockville on a majorly large scale for the rest of 2020. After that, the winner’s large print will be displayed at a different Movement gym and a framed smaller print will live in Rockville indefinitely on the Tommy Bell Gallery Wall.

One day, we will fill this gallery with photos of, or by, folks in our community doing what they love—rock climbing.

It’s easy to enter, simply post your most happy, passion-filled climbing pic on Instagram using the #CanIFocus2020 and #Movement hashtags.

Photos need to have a high resolution copy somewhere in order to win, but you can add #PhonePic to enter a second category for any lower resolution photos!

Post as many times as you want and your best pics from previous climbing trips are allowed! Contest runs January 20, 2020 – February 20, 2020.

WINNERS WILL RECEIVE

• Their image reproduced on a large scale and displayed for one year in Rockville and then will move to other gyms.
• After one year, a smaller version of the image will remain in Rockville on the Tommy Bell Gallery Wall.
• In addition, 1st place will receive $200 Movement gift card, 2nd place will receive $100 Movement gift card and 3rd will receive $50 Movement gift card.

SUBMISSION RULES

• Contest runs 12:00am EST January 20, 2020 through 11:59pm EST February 20, 2020
• All submissions must be received through Instagram
• Must hashtag #Movement and #CanIFocus2020
• Participants must be able to provide a high-quality image upon winning (landscape, 300+ dpi and 2200x3300 pixels)
• Judges will choose the final three images by March 1, 2020
• Final three images will be reposted for public vote March 6-10, 2020
• We will officially notify winner by March 13, 2020
• Winners for the #PhonePic category will be chosen by our judges and notified
• Movement will own promotional rights to any photo submitted (photos may be shared on our social feeds and used to promote this photo contest going forward)
• The Tommy Bell Photo Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram
