Ready to Level Up Your Climbing?
So you’ve been climbing for a little while now—you’ve got your harness figured out, you know what a crimp is, and you’ve maybe even surprised yourself and sent that project you’ve been working on. The days of fumbling through a figure-eight are behind you (shoutout to that Intro to Ropes class!), and you’re starting to feel more at home on the wall. You’ve found your rhythm, taken the intro classes, and now you’re wondering: what’s next?
Maybe you’re spending more time on challenging routes, eyeing tougher problems, or looking to connect and train with other climbers. Those are sure signs you’re ready to level up.
Sounds like you? You’re in the right place!
At Movement, we’re here to support every step of your climbing journey, from your first day in the gym to building the skills you need to crush it outside.
Not sure which class or program is right for you? Don’t worry, we’ve put together a guide to help you find the best next step.
Intro to Technique
Looking at you, gold-star grads from Intro to Rope and Intro to Bouldering. Are you feeling more comfortable on the wall and ready to start flowing through climbs like the pros?
Intro to Technique builds on what you’ve already learned and give you the foundational movement skills to help you climb smarter, smoother, and more efficiently (and yes, that means less forearm pump).
You’ll learn how to drive movement from your toes, position your body efficiently, and use your breath to stay focused and in control. By the end, we will have imparted some wisdom to get you tackling through V4 and 5.10s — and feel a whole lot more fluid doing it.
Intermediate Technique & Master Classes
Do toe hooks have you feeling stuck? Or are slopers your greatest nemesis? Our Intermediate Technique & Master Classes are designed to help you break through plateaus and build targeted skills. With focused drills and direct coaching, you’ll gain deeper awareness and practical tools to tackle problems with confidence. Each class dives deep into techniques like sequencing, positioning, deadpoints, footwork, and more, so you can climb with power and purpose. Our offerings vary from gym to gym so check out which master classes are currently available in your city!
Learn to Lead
If you’ve mastered top roping and want to push yourself, learning to lead can be an exciting next step in your climbing journey. This milestone unlocks new routes (hello cave climbs!), provides more variety and mental engagement within your sessions, and is a great first step for those dreaming of outdoor lead adventures.
Over the course of two classes, you’ll learn the essential techniques to lead climb and belay in the gym. You’ll practice clipping, safely taking and catching falls, and managing the added mental and physical demands of leading. Along the way, you’ll build the confidence to tackle lead routes with awareness, precision, and trust in your belay partner.
If you’re ready to fall 😉 even more love with climbing, check out your gym’s next offering!
Peak Performance Team
Climbing is better with a crew — and Peak Performance Team is where progress and community go hand in hand. This adult training team is all about leveling up your climbing in a supportive, structured environment, whether you’re dialing in technique, building endurance, or working on your confidence on the wall.
You’ll train weekly with a coach, then keep the momentum going with an extra session on your own or with teammates. And when the plateaus or fear creep in (because they will), you’ll have a crew and coach to help you move through it. As one PPT climber put it:
“The difference now is that I have a vast toolbox to work my way out of stall-outs, and I have come to accept that plateaus, fear, and frustration are all part of the beta.”
