1. Movement Sunnyvale

With 28,000 square feet of climbing terrain, Movement Sunnyvale offers an expansive indoor playground for all climbers. The gym’s fitness area is stocked with squat racks, weight machines, and cardio equipment, while its extensive yoga studio provides space to recharge and stretch after a climb. Unique features include hand-carved crack climbing walls and an outdoor slackline for practicing balance.

What sets Sunnyvale apart? The sheer variety of climbing! With cracks carved by hand and unique bouldering terrain, Sunnyvale brings a sense of nature indoors.

2. Movement Santa Clara

The Bay Area’s Bouldering Paradise 

If you’re passionate about bouldering, Movement Santa Clara is the place to be. This 29,000-square-foot facility is dedicated to bouldering, with challenging terrain to match any skill level. The fitness area includes Olympic lifting platforms, squat racks, cardio machines, and an extensive yoga studio. For climbers serious about training, the gym also offers a Kilter board, tension board, and interchangeable hang board.

Our favorite features? Santa Clara’s focus on bouldering and its variety of specialized training tools. It’s a gym where you can develop skills with support from a tight-knit, enthusiastic community. 

3. Movement Belmont

Climbing in a Vintage Venue 

Located in the Belmont Theatre, Movement Belmont blends a classic, retro setting with modern climbing amenities. With 19,000 square feet of climbing space, Belmont offers a variety of walls, including 11 permanent cracks (with difficulty ranging from 5.8 to 5.12), a 40-degree moon board, and a newly installed spray wall. The gym also has a fully stocked gear shop, a spacious fitness area with weight and cardio machines, and a cozy yoga studio.

Our favorite part? Belmont's distinct atmosphere and strong sense of community. Its vintage vibe and thoughtfully designed climbing spaces make it a special spot in the Bay Area.

4. Movement San Francisco

Scenic Climbing in the Presidio

Located right in the heart of the historic Presidio near the Golden Gate Bridge, Movement San Francisco combines a world-class climbing experience with views you’ll never forget. This 25,000-square-foot facility features both climbing and bouldering areas, top-out bouldering, a spacious yoga studio, fitness areas for cardio and strength training, and a community space to relax or take calls between climbs.

5. Movement Mountain View 

Coming Soon in 2025!

We’re excited to expand our Bay Area community to Mountain View! Slated to open in spring 2025, this new 24,000-square-foot gym will feature 7,800 square feet of bouldering terrain, a cozy yoga studio, fully stocked weight and cardio zones, a gear shop with all your climbing needs, and tons of parking!
