Anne-Worley brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of our mission. As the co-founder of the original Movement gyms in Colorado (Baker, Boulder, + RiNo), she laid the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone of our brand identity. Her vision helped shape the Movement ethos that now spans 30 gyms across nine states, pioneering new opportunities for climbers and contributing to the growth of the climbing community nationwide.

"I am honored to take on the CEO role at such a pivotal time for Movement," Moelter said. "Having served on the Board for the last five years, I'm eager to roll up my sleeves and work more closely with this incredible team."

Moelter's appointment signifies a renewed focus on what makes Movement unique - our commitment to climbing, yoga, and fitness. This trifecta has been at the heart of Movement's philosophy from the beginning, reflecting a holistic approach to health and well-being that includes not just physical activity, but also community building.

As a lifelong climber and industry leader herself, Anne-Worley brings unparalleled expertise to her role. Her impressive resume includes serving as USA Climbing's first Executive Director, holding positions on the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) board, and contributing to the Access Fund's board. She also served as an owner of the American Bouldering Series (ABS) for a time, further demonstrating her deep roots in the climbing community.

Anne-Worley's return to a leadership role at Movement is a testament to her enduring passion for the sport and the community. "When Mike and I opened the first 'legacy' Movement in Boulder, one of the pillars of what we wanted to do was show that a climbing and fitness facility could actually be that," Moelter explained. This vision of a comprehensive climbing, yoga, and fitness experience continues to guide Movement today.

As Movement grows, Moelter is committed to maintaining the community-focused atmosphere that has always been a Movement hallmark. "My hope is that as a large organization we can stay true to our strong culture and really provide outstanding experiences for team members, members, and guests," she explained. This commitment to community is evident in her approach to leadership and her vision for the future of Movement.

This sentiment echoes a statement Moelter made in 2015: "At the end of the day, it's really about having people feel like they belong somewhere." This philosophy will continue to guide Movement as we evolve under her leadership!

Even as she takes on the role of CEO, Moelter remains deeply connected to the climbing community, and as a regular gym-goer herself, she has firsthand understanding of the member experience. "I actually have a climbing partner with whom I have been climbing for 22 years, and we have a power-hour every week because we're both working moms. So, for 22 years, we've done that almost every week of every year. So, I do that, and I like to get in at least one yoga class a week, and on top of that, if I'm able to get in and do a solo bouldering session, that would be a really great week for me. Anything beyond that is fantastic, but time constraints sometimes don't allow for it. And then there's a fitness class that I do two times a week as well. So, it's a little sprinkling of everything."

As we enter this exciting new chapter, we invite our community to join us in welcoming Anne-Worley Moelter as CEO. Her passion for climbing, commitment to holistic fitness, and dedication to building strong communities align perfectly with Movement's mission. We look forward to the innovative ideas and positive changes that her leadership will bring to our gyms and the broader climbing community!
